Project 1

Critique a T-shirt Website

Analyze a website to better understand its design elements and determine which are working and which may need to be changed. Think critically about how the website looks and functions and provide clear suggestions for improvements.

Project 2

Complete a Wireframe

As a UX Designer, you'll often need to convert a rough sketch from a client or project stakeholder into a more detailed design. Practice your ability to complete a wireframe based on a simple template.

Project 3

Pet Adoption Signup Form

Determine the stakeholder and audience for a project then create a wireframe of a single website screen using UX design patterns. Explain your choices and design decisions to your client.

Project 4

Prototype a Weather App

Interactions in an app take time to code and can be difficult to change once implemented. It's much better to start with a clear design before jumping into code. This project will practice your ability to prototype apps.

Project 5

User Flow for a Hiking App

Utilize card sorting to determine how users will flow through a website or app to complete tasks and reach their goals. Pair user goals with business goals to create a design that works for both parties.

Project 6

Researching a Grocery Store App

Create a user research plan to gather feedback and data from your target audience. Analyze the data to determine an overall problem, or pain point, you will focus on solving.

Project 7

User Test a Grocery Store App

Complete a usability test to gather feedback on a prototype. Analyze the feedback and determine next steps.

Project 8

Create a Brand Personality

Create a brand personality matching a company’s brand identity and values. Use the brand personality to create content for a webpage to improve the user experience.

Project 9

Iterating on Visual Design

The first idea usually isn't the best. Iteration and taking an idea further is a key part of design. Practice your ability to improve your existing ideas and then explain your choices.

Project 10

Capstone Project: Build a UX Portfolio

Utilize user experience design principles to create a portfolio of your work.
